From rc3.org Daily:
Brenda Laurel and Tog have joined the Nielsen-Norman group, giving them a stable of four computer industry rock stars to hire out for user interface design. I like Tog as a pundit much better than Nielsen, whose grating style drives me nuts. Brenda Laurel is famous mostly for starting a company that produced games for girls. It was purchased by Mattel.
I saw Brenda Laurel give the closing plenary at SIGCHI a couple of years ago. She said something about us technology people “going to the movies to watch the camera”. I thought she hit it right on the money. It’s a shame that Purple Moon folded right about I was going to start bugging them about translating their software to French.
